Just got back from Anaheim, CA. A stone’s throw from Mickey Mouse land (Disneyland) but I was there to attend a convention about a block away. Wish I was able to go, but it was on the employer’s nickel, so I guess I did the right thing.
Izzy hit with a pretty good punch. I lucked out just fine. Power was out for about a day and a half. The SO’s house was out for about 2 days. We managed to save our food in our freezers. No damage to our houses (thank God!). (Many places were without lights for days). One of my friends NEVER lost lights.. lucky! When power came back, cable and cable modem were down for another day. My employer was without power for about 5 days (found this out when I got back from Calif) but they had backup generators. Thank God that the SO and I didn’t go to the Outer Banks this week, like we normally do. She had to move her office to the other side of town this week.
I’m now on Version 34 today. Not the website, but my age! Had to work today because I am going to have to take a day off to get the door replaced on the house (see Oct. 8). Got a cool present today from the SO. Its a MuVo NX 128 MB USB flash drive that is also an MP3 player! Its niiiiiice! (anybody jealous?)
