Sold to an American

Tuesday, April 27th, 2004

After about $5K in a new paint job (and exterior wood work), a month of moving things, and cleaning the place from top to bottom, the old house is finally sold. Finally got rid of the last of the dead weight from the former failed marriage. Time to move on to bigger and brighter things. Hope the new couple likes the place. Kinda scary though, handing them over the keys and signing the paperwork. The house is pretty good for a starter house, but even I wouldn’t have wanted to live there forever.

A fender bender

My fiancee and I were in a fender bender last night. Nothing real serious. Both cars driveable. Other guy’s fault. Just a pain in the neck and a little pissed off.

Remodeling the site

Got sick and tired of the front page on here. Decided to make a new front page. Might do interior pages at a later date if I have the time (Time? What is that?)

Talk about a hot real estate market

Monday, April 12th, 2004

Sorry for the lack of updates. With the move, I’ve lost a lot of my free time for the past month or so. The move should be over this coming Saturday. Its odd… my house which was purchased in 1998 is now selling for DOUBLE what was paid for it. Talk about doubling your investment in SIX years! And, it never officially went on the market! This area’s housing market has extremely high demand and lack of supply! Hope the new owners will be happy! (Heck, I spent $5K on painting and outside wood work!)

I was on business travel the better part of the last two weeks. Last week I was at a Navy shipyard discussing about a project that I’m working on. But the cool part was that I got on a Navy destroyer! Great place to visit, but wouldn’t want to live there.
