Tons O’Stuff

Wednesday, June 30th, 2004

Sorry for the lack of updates. Been really busy.

Gonna go to Long Island for the 4th. First to attend a wedding, and then the wife will show me around her old stomping grounds.

So Michael Moore’s movie hit it big at the box office. Hope that Spidey 2 knocks it off and into oblivion. Thank God!

Learned today that good ole B-94 in Pittsburgh got the ax and will carry Howie Stern (what a has-been idiot!) and change formats from Top 40 to Rock. That will be rock station #4 in da Burgh. They don’t need another!

Iraq is now under its own government, so to speak. Glad they did it early to surprise the terrorists.

Had a hell of a time with the car last weekend. Was just trying to get new tires. But had to replace a stud on one of the wheels, and only to find out I need to replace yet another - at $57 a piece! Not fun. Cars are expensive!

And a big THANK YOU to the group at work. Didn’t expect those gift cards! Definately was surprised! The wife and I will eat well and enjoy!

More problems in the Middle East

Saturday, June 19th, 2004

Yet another American beheaded in the Middle East. But this time they got the guy who did it. Let hope we get Bin Laden next!

I’d like to say hi to friends and family who reads my rants. I know the Mrs. reads this so hello to her!

Makes me puke

Thursday, June 17th, 2004

Some people make me want to puke. Michael Moore is one of them. He’s made a so-called documentary called “Fahrenheit 9/11″. More like a biased liberal on a conservative bashing mission and claiming its “art”. Blech! Puke! Definitely a movie I won’t go see.

Waylayed luggage / Reagan’s funeral

Friday, June 11th, 2004

Got my luggage back, one day late. Everything was fine inside. Still peeved about it. Was just glad to be home from the hell hole of downtown Detroit. At least it wasn’t Camden, NJ (from what I hear really sucks). Watched all the funeral stuff for Reagan. Nice coverage, but overkill. The worst was when Reagan’s coffin was placed on the pedestal next to where his final resting place will be. There were tons of still photographer reporters who were clicking away while Nancy wept. Folks - give her some space, please! Yes, Reagan was a very public figure, but give the family some private time to weep!

Back from Detroit

Thursday, June 10th, 2004

Got back from Detroit. However, United managed to lose my luggage. I wasn’t the only one. Seems the plane was full of luggage and several of the passenger’s bags were “delayed”. First time in all my travel its ever happened.

Run for the border (Canada, not Mexico)

Tuesday, June 8th, 2004

Gave a talk about my work with sensors. Was well received. Met up with some of the sensors companies I’m working with on a project. We decided to go to Windsor, ON to go eat dinner (just across the border from Detroit). Had a good time.

Detroit is a dump

Sunday, June 6th, 2004

Attending Sensors Expo conference in Detroit, MI. What a dump Detroit is! Can’t even find a decent restaurant to eat. And on top of that, this place is a ghost town on Sundays.

Ronald Reagan - Rest in Peace

Saturday, June 5th, 2004

Ronald Wilson Reagan has passed on. He is now free of his Alzheimer’s disease that has crippled him for the last 10+ years. May he rest in peace.

Back from honeymoon / Mel quits Viacom

Tuesday, June 1st, 2004

Well, we’re back safe and sound from the honeymoon. For those of you who asked for wedding photos - we’re having them developed and collecting digital ones from friends and family. We’ll send you an E-mail when they’re ready.

Mel Karmazin quit as CEO of Viacom today. Maybe there will be a saving grace for Viacom/CBS afterall. Howard Stern has threatened that he would leave if Mel left. Lets hope he keeps his promise!
