Time to sell / Ford & GM not doing so well

Saturday, January 28th, 2006

Whoops! Forgot to put “2006″ on some of these entries! And no one pointed them out to me!

There’s a bid on Dad’s old house.. lets hope it goes through. Get it done and over with and move on.

Ford is laying off a ton of workers.. GM lost $4 billion last year. Time for them to merge and go down to one company. But their biggest problems are 1) NOT listening to the public and creating a good quality SMALL car (not a damn SUV) and 2) Quality, quality, quality. I’ve had two American cars in a row (Pontiac) and both of them had problems that no one can seem to correct. I used to have Toyotas in the past (hand-me-downs from my parents). Though they had a few issues, they were mostly repairable and back to good condition without nagging problems. Bottom line, its time that Ford and GM either put up or shut up. Sad to say that the Japanese and Germans (with Chrysler) eating their breakfast, lunch and dinner!

In memory of my father / Super-Duper Bowl XL

Monday, January 23rd, 2006

Starting with a sad note, the other shoe has dropped today. Today would have been my father’s 79th birthday. This is the first time in my life that his birthday has passed without him. (It was always a joke, my parents were both 6 days apart but by five years).

On a good note, the “Stillers” will be going to the Super-Duper bowl eXtra Large (Super Bowl XL) in “Deeetroit” to play against the “Seaturkeys”. The Seahawks have never been to a Super Bowl, and for many years they were the laughing stock of the NFL. I guess they’ve finally ridded themselves of the dredded “Kingdome” curse. We’ll see who gets the last laugh in two weeks.

Its ironic though. Even when I was in 2nd grade (circa 1977) in Olympia, WA, I still liked the Steelers better than the Seahawks. Our class had two reading comprehension groups. The better readers (which I was a part of) were named the “Steelers” and the normal readers were the “Seahawks”. Well guess what, now they’ll play each other in the Super Bowl! Let the better team (Steelers) win!

Here we go Steelers, Here we go!

In honor of my mother / ProgPower USA 7 bands announced

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

Today would have been my mother’s 74th birthday if she were still alive. I still miss my mother. Its even worse now that my father has passed away (sigh).

On a good note, four out of the ten bands for ProgPower USA VII have been chosen. Looking forward to September!

Diana and I went to the gym for the first time in a month. Boy do I feel it! Ugh!

Not the most friendly bank in the world

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

Still fighting a cold I’ve had for over a week. Not fun.

Oh, I’m mad as hell at BB&T Bank. Anal retentive bastards. Won’t let me open an account because of some stupid documentation I need. What a crock of crap. Guess what? I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Max the wonder pug

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

We have a new Pug puppy. We’re calling him “Max”. I hope to have some photos of him on here soon.

Lets hope 2006 is better than 2005!

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

Happy New Year! Lets hope that 2006 is better than 2005!

Diana and I have decided to get a new dog. Not to replace Puppy, but to have a dog of some sort in the house. We’re getting a pure bred Pug dog. Hopefully by this Thursday or Friday (crossing our fingers).
